# Creating a Customer

The Customer Creation form allows users to register a new customer record in the system. The form is organized into collapsible sections, each capturing a distinct category of information:

1. **Group** — Defines the customer type (e.g., *Individual*). This selection may determine which fields are relevant or required in the sections below.
2. **Customer Information** — Core identity and contact details, including name, identification (NIC, Passport Number), personal details (Date of Birth, Nationality), and contact channels (Phone Number, Phone Mobile, Phone Other, Email, Email Other).
3. **Billing Address Information** — The customer's billing address, including Address Street, State/District, P.O., City/Region, and Country (defaults to Mauritius).

**Navigation**

1\. Navigate to <https://erp-demo.elastik.mu/>

2\. Select "Customers" from the sidebar menu.

**Duplicate Verification**

3\. Click "Search" to expand the filter panel.

4\. Type "Selvan" into the keyword search field.

5\. Click "Search"

6\. Click "Create New" to start the creation process.

7\. Type "Selvan" into the verification modal's search field.

8\. Click "Search"

9\. Click "+ Create New" inside the verification modal.

**Personal Information**

10\. Select the "MR." option.

11\. Enter the customer's First Name and Last Name.

**Address and Credit Terms**

12\. Enter the billing street address.

13\. Select the Country from the dropdown menu.

14\. Select "Credit" as the Sales Type.

15\. Set "Terms Type" to "DAYS".

16\. Specify the "Credit Days" and "Credit Limit".

17\. Click the "Save" icon to create the customer.
