# Elastik Overview

Elastik's interface is built around a top bar, a left-hand sidebar, and a main content area.

**Top bar**

* **Logo** (top-left) — the Elastik logo, alongside the environment label ("Live Demo" in this screenshot).

* **Menu icon** (hamburger, next to the logo) — Will expand and collapse the side menu.&#x20;
  * We recommend keeping it collapsed
* **Quick search** — a search bar with a category selector
  * The options are Customer, Supplier and Items. The default option is Customer

#### Notifications icons

* **Tasks to do** — shows your pending tasks. The number badge is your current outstanding task count.
* **Conversations** — opens your WhatsApp-linked conversations. The badge shows unread messages.
* **Stock transfer** — shows pending stock transfers awaiting action. The badge is the number of pending transfers.
* **Online baskets** — shows active online baskets (customer carts not yet converted to an order). The badge is the number of open baskets.
* **Notifications** — your user notifications. The badge is the number of unread notifications.

#### Profile Menu

#### Profile menu

* **Company / Branch** — shows which company and branch you're currently working in.
* **Switch Company/Branch** — change which company and/or branch you're operating in, if your account has access to more than one.
* **Contact Elastik Support** — opens a WhatsApp chat directly with Elastik support.
* **Quick Create** — Option to create Customer, Supplier or Item
* **Preferences** — It allows you to change the sidebar menu colour. Very helpful when you're part of different companies
* **Change Password** — update your account password.
* **Sign Out** — log out of Elastik.
